The Kerala Club has adopted to clean  E Avon Road between Rochester and John R as  part of Adopt-A-Highway  program. This is a program  by Michigan Department of  Transportation (MDOT) and  is designed to help keep the state's highway roadsides clean and attractive. The Kerala Club members and young volunteers  completed the collection of multiple bags of trash in a record time of  an hour in September 2017.
